The MLST scheme hosted in this database was developed by Adam Baldwin in the laboratory of Chris Dowson (Warwick University, UK) and in close collaboration with Esh Mahenthiralingam (Cardiff University, UK). Other collaborators involved in the development of this scheme included David Honeybourne (Heartlands Hospital, UK) and Martin Maiden (Oxford University, UK). It is described in Baldwin et al. 2005 J Clin Microbiol 43:4665-4673.
